“Portfolio Slug rename”

  • Mouncef Lahlou
Hi, I am trying to rename the portfolio slug name from portfolio-pages/ to products/. I tried editing the file functions.php line 436: 'rewrite' => array('slug' => 'portfolio-pages'), to 'rewrite' => array('slug' => 'products'), and it did work fine however I noticed that the portfolio page cannot be filtered anymore based on category and are displayed like posts. Would you help please. Thanks

You need also to change that in theme folder/ includes / shortcodes.php
file, open with some editor and find Portfolio shortcode on 484 line,
find portfolio_page on line 533, 540, 607 and 614 and replace with products

    HI,

First, I had to disable JetPack, as your hosting has memory limit and can't handle JetPack installed with this theme. If you want, I can send you part of email I've got from JetPack developer explaining the problem.

2nd, I've accessed this page http://www.lifessenceusa.com/products/ and then clicked on any project and didn't find any issue. Did you revert back your changes?

    Hello,

Maybe you didn't understand my concern well. Refering back to my first post: I am trying to replace the the word portfolio-pages from the link http://www.lifessenceusa.com/portfolio-pages/antioxidant-supreme/ so it becomes like this http://www.lifessenceusa.com/products/antioxidant-supreme/

And this applies to the other porduct links as well.

Following the steps you mentioned above (after applying those steps), the slugname changes, however, the portfolio slider displays the portfolio images as posts as described in the two images I attched to my second reply. Try to do the changes you mentioned yourself and you will notice the difference. (currently the website don't have these changes)

I absolutly need a fix to this problem as the website is marketed using products and not portfolio-pages

NOTE: From what I noticed when doing the changes: the qode [portfolio_list ... ] is not operational anymore.

    Hi,

I can see problem on your side, but it's working fine on our side, you can see it here:

    http://screencast.com/t/4IjqibO8SdyH

You need to check your installation, if you are using some cache plugin, or anything else, as problem is not with our theme.

    Hi,

I did state that when doing the changes the slug name also change correctly (re-read my posts). My problem in doing so is that the qode portfolio_list and portfolio_slider stop working.

I created a fresh instalation and re-tried all steps and still have the same problem. AGAIN, the slug name DOES work when doing the changes however the portfolio_lists are now displayed as posts.

This is what I get when doing the changes: http://lifessenceusa.com/testing/products/

This is what I had before the changes: http://lifessenceusa.com/products/

I hope the problem is clearer.

    Kindly,

    Hi,

On my side it's working fine. When I rename the url slug, I get the list and slider working without any issues. Something is wrong on your side.
