DropDown Menu & other issues

    I have 3 issues:

    1. I am trying to switch the dropdown menu to horizontal but I have read almost every ticket on your forums for how to change it but the wide option doesn't exist. (see attached)

    2. Progress bar horizontal isn't loading up properly and the title doesn't even show ( see attached and also on front home page of site - on top of the words "our company in numbers".) There is another progress bar there that I found some short code for but it is not from your program. I tried to find another solution before buying support again and it obviously didn't work because here I am, lol.

    3. When viewing the qode elements options to insert into a page none of the icons show up anymore (see attached) they used to but they don't anymore - is this why the progress bar isn't working?

    Also, how can I add a template page? It only gives me an option to view them.

    Thanks,

    Amber

    Hello,

    1. If there is no wide menu option try to open options when editing menus, and also try disabling 3rd party plugins since some of them can cause conflicts of this kind. Also, below are instructions on how to create wide menu:

    First you need to add first-level menu item (Custom Link) with Type: wide like this http://screencast.com/t/WINdVyUCKtuV Add 4 second-level menu items (Custom Link) below the first-level item: http://screencast.com/t/D19dRrJgw http://screencast.com/t/F4jeqe7I Below each second-level menu item, add several third-level menu items: http://screencast.com/t/pFrh46SLZ

    2. We need to inspect this on your end, so provide us with WordPress admin access, but as in your first question, try to disable 3rd party plugins since progress bars are working on our testing installation just fine.

    3. We need to test this on your end. Beside WP admin access also provide FTP so we can try to reinstall the theme if needed. If you have some modifications and also just in case create a full site backup.

    Best Regards!

    Hi,

    And thanks for the credentials.

    1. Popup Maker is causing issue so when it is deactivated option will be there https://www.screencast.com/t/6xUTHZFbvEI8 . We activated it again after test

    2. With these two plugins progress is working fine https://www.screencast.com/t/pvtH31Kk even plugin for progress bar is working.

    3. With above plugins disabled https://www.screencast.com/t/OPA3zJ4Cm icons are showing so we keep them disabled since they are causing too many issues.

    Awesome! Thank you SO MUCh for figuring it out! One last question though - the plugins that are causing the issue, we will need to use some form of pop up for our site, does this mean we cannot use a pop up form at all or is it just this particular one that is causing issues?

    We would also like to be able to use Optimize Press as well, is there anyway we can make it work or is it just not possible with this theme?

    I also noticed 3 things when I enable the wide menu

    1. The spacing between links is far too large

    2. when I scroll down and hover over the parent menu, the drop down menu becomes far too close and too off-centered

    3. The vertical separators are too long and if I select for them to be turned off under options > header they do not turn off.

    Hi again,

    popup plugin which you were using isn't tested and it is clear that it won't work, but you can try some other plugin for same purpose.

    1. Wide menu is coded in order to contain 4 columns, so by adding another sub menu item, you can have equally spaced elements, and everything below that number will display additional blank space.

    2. This is how it appear on our end https://www.screencast.com/t/cEuLh9M2nb . If you were resizing browser window, try to reload page because menu is being calculated on page load. If there are

    3. Separators can be hidden with custom css code below and you can apply it from Qode options > General > custom CSS field:

    .drop_down .wide .second ul li {
        border: none;
    }

    Hi!

    Unfortunately I don't need a 4th menu item under the dropdown - I only have 3 pages I need there.

    And as far as the spacing goes it is still too far from the main menu and it lies right on top of the slider. Can you please help me and move it up closer to the main menu and have it not as spaced out?

    Hi again,

    Wide menu is controlled by JS script which is triggered on page load so and it will position menu and wide menu items according to available screen size. On smaller resolution it will look like this https://www.screencast.com/t/NxsLPEUINNT and on larger screen, like this https://www.screencast.com/t/DwK9ffQejW4 so if you are changing screen size make sure to refresh browser and test then. Because of this additional styling to menu position cannot be applied trough css code, but css can be applied in order to reduce font size, but this can be set from theme options also. In your particular case, problem on slightly smaller screens is related to menu text length and because you didn't set 4th column, so if you are not going to use it, then it is better to use standard sub menus, or if you realy need wide menu functionality with 3 columns you can try to search for some wide menu plugin.

    Ok I understand. Is there a way to get rid of the separator in between though? In settings -> Header there is an option to have the separators on or off - I currently  have it OFF and it is still displaying.

    Hi again,

    Separators option is for regular menu, not for drop down menu and we already provided you with css which will hide borders:

    .drop_down .wide .second ul li {
        border: none;
    }

    and right now we are not seeing borders (separators) between menu items.

    Also for better loading times for header, you should consider decreasing image dimensions for all header types https://www.screencast.com/t/l7p9PpQEXzpV 1600px can be used for background but for log it is too much since file will be large, and multiple files are set for different header types.

    Bests!
