    when I try to access the widget section from the wordpress back end I get this error.

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_enqueue_editor() in /home/thedbt5/public_html/wp-includes/widgets/class-wp-widget-text.php on line 326

    Any idea what could be causing this?

    Hi There,

    Thanks for writing in.

    Please try to deactivate all your third party plugins, except plugins that came bundled with the theme and see if it helps. If the issue disappears, activate your plugins one by one and see if you can find the one that is causing the issue.

    Write us back how it turned out.

    Thank you! I deactivated All plugins 3rd party and bundled. With all plugins disabled I am still getting this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_enqueue_editor() in /home/thedbt5/public_html/wp-includes/widgets/class-wp-widget-text.php on line 326

    Hello There,

    First, make sure that you increased server resources, or ask your hosting service to do that for you:

    max_execution_time = 300

    memory_limit = 128M

    upload_max_filesize = 128M

    post_max_size = 256M

    max_input_vars = 3000

    PHP 5.6 (7 is recommended by WP https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/)

    Then, please update your theme to the newest version (11.2), so we can be sure that is not caused by older theme files.

    Also, try to "Re-install" WordPress update, and see if it helps.

    Write us back how it turned out.
