    I purchased the Theme "Nature Blog" number 24.

    I installed the theme and am working on the graphics while I met some structural problems, which even a professional webdesigner couldn't resolve.

    As following:

    1) In some posts I have to reload the page to see the right menu (2 languages) or to see the post. Without refreshing the page nothing works.

    2) The Instagram-function in the Sidebar works only on the Homepage, but not on the sidebar of the Posts.

    3) In the preview of the posts you see a writing with the name of the gallery under the gallery, I can't cancel this.

    Hi Katharina, 

    We do not have access to your website due to the maintenance mode, but we'll try to help. 

    1) If there is a language switcher in the header, you'll have to disable Page Transition animation. With Page Transition enabled, the header will not be reloaded when you access the page in different language, and the language selector (depending on the plugin that you are using) probably won't work well. Just navigate to Qode Options -> General -> set Page Transition to No Animation and see if it helps. 

    2) If the Instagram feature is generated by some third party plugin, it may have a conflict with the Page Transition. Try disabling Page Transition as explained above and see if it helps. 

    3) Please send us a screenshot of the element that you want to remove, login URL and temporary WP admin access to take a closer look. Thank you.

    Thank you very much, your answer was useful.

    I could resolve problem 1) and 2) with enabling the Page Transition.

    Meanwhile I enabled the maintenance mode so that you can have a look on problem 3). On the homepage scrolling down you can see in the articles with an Image gallery the name of the gallery in the preview (f.ex. Mexiko, Uttarakhand). I want to cancel this!

    4) I noticed another problem: if I look at the Blog on the cell-phone I can't see in the header on the right side the Facebook- and Instagram-Button (which are not so important), but most important thing is that I can't even see the language switcher. Can you tell me how to resolve this?

    Problem 1 is still remaining:

    I didn't meant the title but the description under the photo of the image gallery in the home page:

    Thank you for your feedback. 

    Regarding the shortcodes displayed on the page, blog list cannot read shortcodes so we implemented the Excerpt field for each single blog post. You have to go to your wp admin -> Posts -> your post and below the text editor or visual composer there should be the Excerpt field, just enter inside whatever you want to display for that post on blog list:

    If you cannot find the Excerpt section, go to top right corner -> Screen Options and enable the Excerpt option:

    You have to add text excerpt to each blog post.

    For some reason, post content is displayed instead of text excerpts. 

    We found that you are running outdated theme version:

    The latest Bridge release is 13.2 as you can see in Bridge changelog:

    Our suggestion is to update the theme to version 13.2 and Visual Composer/WPBakery to version 5.4.5

    Before the update, create a full site backup. You probably have a backup tool included in your hosting plan. 

    After creating a backup, update the theme by following these steps (if there is a child theme, parent theme should be activated first):

    You are very friendly giving me all these information but unfortunately am not a computer-specialist!

    I followed the steps from the Youtube-video. I downloaded the newest version of the Bridge theme and I extracted the Zipfile. 

    I don't understand what I have to do next. Where can I find the server the video is talking about, which I should use to substitute the old with the new version?

    In that case you can perform auto update using the Envato Market plugin instead of manual update.

    After you apply necessary configuration settings, navigate to Dashboard -> Updates and update the theme to the latest version ( 13.2 ) from there.

    I updated the theme and the WPBakery, but the problem is persisting.

    Is there another way to solve this problem?

    And, hopefully, last question before getting officially online with the blog: 

    In the beginning working on the Blog I accidently cancelled  the Contact-model-page of the theme. Is there a way to reset this, so I could just put in my dates. Now I tried to build a new Contact side, but it is not nice and not fitting with the rest of the Blog.

    1) The issue is caused by using Read More tags in the post content:

    We have removed them from one or two posts which fixed the problem:

    The Excerpts are intended for this and they will be displayed instead of post content on blog list. 

    2) You can use default Contact Page. Just create new (empty) page and set Template to Contact Page

    Regarding the Contact-side I have a question: 

    my Blog is in two languages. Italian and German.

    Above the Contact-form as title I put a little text through Quode-Options. Is it possibile to make this bilingual? Or is the contact-side always only one?

    Bridge does not have the options for multilingual content, so a third party plugin is required for multilingual websites. 

    We found that you have installed Polylang which is not officially supported, but some customers use it with Bridge. You have to translate the entire page to Italian:

    You are welcome. 

    We found that you are using Polylang plugin for multilingual site functionality. Polylang is a good free plugin but it is not officially supported - the integration requires theme modification, i.e. adding certain functions. In this particular case it obviously requires customization in order our search form to work for the second language.  Please note that we recommend using WPML for multilingual websites - WPML is a very popular paid plugin recommended by most theme authors and compatible with Bridge. Unfortunately we are not able to assist you with Polylang integration because it would be beyond the scope of our support service - please contact the plugin support, we hope they will be able to help you.

    You can perform basic search engine optimization using the built-in Qode SEO feature. 

    In Qode Options -> General -> SEO you can enter global meta keywords and description (for the entire website):

    To optimize particular page, navigate to your page admin -> Qode SEO and use available fields to enter meta title, keywords and description for particular page:

    Also, it is very important that the phrase can be found in the content of the page, because Google gives great importance to content. 

    Your changes will not take effect immediately because Google will need several days to index your pages again.

    Hi Katharina, 

    The issue could be caused by third party plugin. Please deactivate all your third party plugins, except bundled plugins ( WPBakery, Layer Slider..) and see if it helps. If the issue disappears, activate your plugins one by one and try to find the plugin that causes the issue. 

    Also make sure to check your settings under WP admin -> Settings -> Discussion
