This has been a bug for as long as I've been using Bridge (8 months or so?), so I figured I'd finally put in a ticket.
I'm using Firefox browser to edit a page.If I set the column widths to a custom fraction (I'm using 1/12 + 3/12 + 4/12 + 3/12 + 1/12 in my example) then edit any column details like bg color or padding, it then resets the column width to 1/12.
It's not a huge issue, it just drives me nuts when I'm building and trying different things and I have to keep resetting the widths after every edit.
I dropped a screen cap me recreating the issue.

WpBakery does not allow changes to custom layouts. The issue still persists when we switch to some of default wordpress themes, so you can try to switch to some other theme and check this functionality.
But there is an workaround for this issue, create custom layout, then copy custom layout and paste it to notepad.
make change to your column:
Then paste back your layout:
Unfortunately, this is the only way you can make changes in design options with custom layout.
